August Wrap-Up

My first monthly wrap-up!! It's technically a little late for this, but better late than never. Did August feel like the longest month ever. Like longer even longer than January? Or was it just me? I had a lot of small wins this month and it feels really good! Small wins count just as much of the bigs ones and I'm going to share some of mine.

Etsy - I had the most orders ever in my Etsy shop - 22 orders! Thank you to everyone who purchased something from my shop. It means the world to me that you love my creations and are willing to spend your hard earned money in my shop. I released new Fall and Halloween dashboards, and if I'm allowed to toot my own horn, well they're amazing! I've got some really great stuff up my sleeve for September, so be sure to follow me on Instagram (@thatmrsmiller) to keep up with the goings on.

Personal - I've been drinking a lot more water this month, taking vitamins, and working on self-care. Staying hydrated is such a challenge for me, but I'm getting better at it. I've been reading a bit more, taking breaks when I need them, and getting out of the house little by little.

Here's the books I read in August.

These were all such great reads. Richard Marx is an amazing story teller and I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the audio version of this one. I tend to lean toward audiobooks for memoirs and biographies because it's really great hearing the person tell their story. The Body in the Library was a lot of fun. I can't believe I'm 44 and have just now started reading Agatha Christie! Miss Marple is a hoot and her savviness and knack for solving mysteries that even the best detectives can't solve is unmatched. The Moonlight Child is my first Karen McQuestion novel, but I can definitely say that I'll be looking for more of her books. It was a really easy read and kept my attention till the end.

My Favorites This Month - I don't use a lot of hair products, makeup, etc...so my favorites will most likely always consist of tech, planner, and every day use kind of items. I only have a couple of favorites this month, but they're both amazing and I highly recommend.

Mrs. Meyers's Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner: (affiliate link) I LOVE this stuff! When I say I love it, I mean I use it all the time. I use the lemon verbena scent and it smells amazing! It's made with plant-derived cleaning ingredients and essential oils, so it's safer and gentler than other cleaners.

Bisley White 5-drawer Cabinet (from The Container Store): I use a lot of paper and card stock in my Etsy shop and I wanted something that would keep dust off of it and keep it organized. This drawer unit is all metal, looks gorgeous, and has the perfect amount of drawers to hold all of the materials I use. It's a little pricey but, in my opinion, totally worth it.

Well, that's it for the August wrap-up, be sure to subscribe to the blog so you don't miss out on future posts or my first newsletter coming in October. The monthly newsletter will always include a freebie download of some kind. I'm already working on it and can't wait to share.

Thank you, as always for reading, and see you next time!
